The body sits at the centre of Sophie Dartford's practice. Working across painting, film, sculpture and text, she explores the ways memory, experience and presence are carried through physical form. Through processes of repetition, documentation and translation, her work moves between figuration and abstraction, creating sensory encounters that examine trace, ambiguity and the shifting nature of memory.
